All our sold cars are independently MOT’d prior to customer collection, this ensures peace of mind benefiting both parties. we prepare cars to perfection so MOT certificates issued are clean & without any advisories. 

All our cars without exception are thoroughly inspected in our workshop as part of our rigorous preparation program, anything that needs repairing or replacing is rectified without question. Nothing is left to chance.

All our sales cars are presented simply impeccably & without excuse. We spend literally days valeting, deep cleaning, machine polishing & detailing every car.  

We present every car as close to new as humanly possible. Our famously high standards don’t allow for any scratches, scuffs, dents, corrosion, off colour coachwork, damaged wheels or anything else that might detract from our cars being show winning examples. 

All cars go out with a complementary ceramic coachwork coating & Dinitrol underbody protection coating to help protect your investment from whatever the weather can throw at it.

Leaving a non-refundable sales deposit on one of our Jaguar or Daimler’s is a great way to secure your dream motor car & beat any competition to it.

Our minimum non-refundable deposit is £1500.00, ideally this payment would be made by bank transfer. The option of a debit card one off deposit payment can be made if necessary.

We do not accept any form of credit card payments.

On completion of the transaction the deposit will naturally be reduced from the final balance due to be paid. 

A deposit allows you to 

remove a car from sale 

for a maximum time 

of 10 days.

Within the strict 10 day time period you must make arrangements to view the car, sign the sales invoice, pay the balance due & collect the car.

Please note if you decide to  cancel & withdraw your commitment to purchase the car   you have left a deposit on for any reason whatsoever your deposit will not be refunded back to you under any circumstance. 

If the balance due is not paid within the 10 day maximum allowed time period your deposit will be kept by us & not refunded back to you under any circumstances.

We have had to adopt a strict but fair deposit policy as on too many occasions over the years people have unfortunately let us down, messed us around or taken advantage of our kind & trusting approach.

Deposits are a level of commitment we take very seriously. 

If for any reason WE have to terminate the sales agreement , your deposit will be refunded back to you within 14 business days from the date of notification. 

All final balance payments should ideally be paid to us directly via a bank transfer & prior to the collection of your car from our business premises.

Vehicles will not be released from us until a cleared final balance bank transfer / debit card payment has been received & cleared In our business bank account.

Any customers wishing to pay there final balance payment by debit card will need to make sure there daily limit is sufficient to fulfil the amount due and inform there bank in advance of the pending transaction, this will save time & avoid delay in regards to the collection of your car.

Ideally any debit card payment made to us for final balances should be made prior to the day of collection to ensure a smooth handover process

Credit cards are strictly prohibited for final balance payments.

Cash payments for final balances can be accepted by The Malton Motor Company up to the value of £10,000. This maximum cash amount is allowed once per vehicle purchase only. We adopt & follow a strict money laundering policy. We will need & require a proof of address & photo ID if you wish to make a large cash payment up to the value of our limit. We do not however recommend large cash payments as they pose a significant security risk for both parties. Any cash payments made up to the value of £10,000 must be made prior to the day of your arranged vehicle collection as we will need extra time to process the cash payment & check the authenticity of the notes received.

We do not offer any vehicle financing or loans for any balances due. 

We don’t deal directly with third party finance houses on your behalf. You are of course entitled to fund your car via personal loans but they must strictly be administered by you as we are unable to assist with anything financial or offer any advice on how you fund your purchase from us.

We do not accept bankers drafts, cheques, Cryptocurrency or foreign currency for final balances due.

All payments must be made in pound’s sterling.

All our vehicles undergo a thorough detailed inspection & road test as part of our high standard recommission process. Any work necessary to bring a vehicle up to a safe & road worthy condition will be completed long before any vehicle is marketed 

for sale.

For further peace of mind once one of our vehicles has been purchased & prior to collection it will be taken by us to reputable independent vehicle testing station for a Ministry of Transport Test (MOT). This benefits you as the customer & independently verifies any mechanical work we have carried out in regard to the recommission of the motor car. 

Every motor car we sell will be handed over with a clean / no advisory MOT certificate. 

As an extra step to ensure your satisfaction we offer a parts guarantee. This parts guarantee is valid from the date of purchase & expires after 3 months or a 1000 miles which ever is the sooner.

Terms & conditions, list of parts covered, exemptions & claim limits will be explained & provided at the time of handover. You will be issued with a document for reference. 

This complementary parts guarantee is our own policy & is not administered by a third party. Any valid claims must be submitted to us only.

Our guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. 

Selected parts highlighted in the policy document are covered but any diagnostic or Labour charges are not covered by us. The policy does not cover any breakdown recovery either.

Any parts covered under our policy must be sourced & issued by us, replacement parts issued depending on availability maybe new or used. Any postage costs to you will be covered by us.

Our cars are painstakingly prepared & detailed to truly exceptional standards which takes many days & often 

weeks to achieve. 

Unfortunately we don’t allow test drives in any bad weather, on wet roads or salty conditions as re-cleaning any vehicle back to the standard we insist on is just so time consuming. The type & quality cars we stock as I’m sure you’ll agree shouldn’t really be put through there paces in such conditions or situations. 

If the road conditions allow & a non-refundable deposit is paid as a sign of commitment then a test drive locally with a staff member would be permitted with pleasure.

A valid UK driving licence & proof of address will need to be seen prior to any test drive.

Collecting your pride & joy 

from us is very easy, straightforward & stress free.

All sold cars are kept clean inside our showroom & made ready

 to pull out through the 

main door at handover.

At the point of collection all balance payments should have been made in advance. Your new motor car will however need a road fund license & we of course will help you with this task. Please make sure you bring a valid debit card with you so we can apply for the road tax on your behalf online.

We will also help you fill in the V5 registration document for your new car. 

Please make sure before handover you arrange insurance cover for your new car. We don’t offer any drive away insurance cover.

Before you drive away a copy of your purchase invoice will be issued, V5 green new keepers slip will be given to you, all keys, fobs handbooks & service record will be provided, a full run through of the cars controls & features will be given. An under bonnet check will also be made so you can familiar yourself with all points that will need checking periodically.

Once our cars are fully prepared in our workshops they are driven & displayed next door in our heated well lit carpeted showroom.

Our showroom is very clean & comfortable, the sales office is located directly above the cars ready for viewing making a great place to admire your new car. 

We do have a WC located at the rear of the showroom, we keep this immaculately clean at all times.  We expect our customers to do the same please.

Our sales office has many interesting Jaguar related collectibles, don’t forget to take a look when you visit. 

Located between the sales cars are Jaguar & Daimler merchandise cabinets which stock gifts, cleaning products & many other motoring accessories.
