Dinitrol Underbody Protection Service

The important first stage of the process is to thoroughly wash your car concentrating extra time to wheel arch areas and lower body areas like the sills.

After washing we dry the car off and pull your car into our workshop facility.

The next task is to load the car onto our workshop lift. 

After loading we use compressed air to force any water from all the hard to reach areas. With the car raised up in the air we turn on heaters helping to further speed the process of drying.

The car is then left in our workshop still loaded on our lift until the folding day when normally the car will be fully dry.

On day two we thoroughly mask off the whole car with polythene sheeting and remove all road wheels. 

The wheels are also covered up as to protect them from any overspray.

The wheel arch areas are vacuumed to remove any dirt or debris and then the same cleaning method is carried out to the full undercarriage.

The next stage is to clean any surface corrosion from the underbody carefully using wire wheels and brushes. 

The undercarriage is vacuumed again and components such as exhaust systems etc are masked off ready for the Dinitrol to be applied. 

The choices of Dinitrol treatment are clear, light brown or black.

 We tend to use clear as much as possible but the choice is yours.

All appropriate areas are covered with Dinitrol using a spray application, all floors, box sections, chassis, brake and fuel pipes, suspension components, inner sills, boot floor, jacking points etc are treated with a first coat.

The car is left in state overnight allowing for the Dinitrol to creep and travel to all areas.

The following day a full and final second coat is applied to all the same areas as the previous coat.

The car after an hour or so 

is de-masked and the road wheels are refitted 

and torqued to the 

correct setting. 

The exterior bodywork and glass is wiped with a cleaning solution ensuring no contamination

 has occurred during the treatment process.

The car is driven outside and parked up allowing air to flow around the car helping to skin over the protective coating.

Collection of the vehicle can be made the following day.
